SITUATION
Campfield House is situated within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and enjoys extensive southerly views from all of the principal rooms, looking southwards over the gardens and the adjoining fields. It lies on Powdermill Lane, a non-classified road with considerable commuter traffic, but nevertheless, the house overlooks only its own grounds and suffers from very little noise pollution. The Hastings bypass opened in early 2015 relieved the traffic considerably. The historic East Sussex town of Battle is about 1.5 miles distant with a mainline station serving London Bridge, Cannon Street and Charing Cross. The East Sussex coastal towns of Eastbourne and Bexhill are within easy driving distance and the regional spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is about 25 miles.
